Every year, In-plant Impressions ranks the largest in-plant printing operations according to annual sales and number of employees.

Since university in-plants comprise the bulk of that list, we have created a separate ranking showing how higher-ed in-plants stack up against one another. As in past years, there have been some ups and downs as in-plants reduced staff sizes and lost revenue in 2021, but we saw some bright spots as well:

• Five university in-plants generated more than $7 million in sales.
• The average sales of the top 10 university in-plants is $7,969,807.
• Five university in-plants have more than 50 employees.
• Though many have cut their staffs since last year, six reported more employees in 2021 than in 2020. One in-plant added more than seven new employees.
